Full body blow dryer

This probably exists, but I would like to have, next to my shower stall (if I actually had a shower stall, instead of a tub) a stall that you walked into that would blow dry your entire body with nice, warm air. It would be really nice and comforting, especially on cold days.

Don't they have something like this in "Blade Runner"?

This reminds me of how my sister asked me one time (and I hope you're reading, Peter) if I ever gave my boyfriend "blow dries." What a little scamp.

wouldn't you get kind of chapped?

Posted by: melissa at October 10, 2003 4:09 PM

Okay, a couple of things:

1. We OWN Blade Runner, in case you want to check. I do seem to remember some kind of all-in-one shower, or at least closet, in Harrison Ford's little apartment.

2. I'm totally in favor of excessive bathing inventions. What I'd like to see us implement is something that:

- Has multiple showerheads (all low-flow, but combined...decadent)

- Has moody lighting and sound system

- Has a heated convection mode, where heated air would come out of vortex vents alongside the showerhead vents. In "low" mode, this would complement the shower (making you nice and toasty warm), and in "high" mode (with the water turned off) this would dry you off.

Where's that inheritance??

I think the chapping would have to be compensated for by a full-body moisterizer shower after this one. It would spray out baby oil or something.

i like chris's bathroom accoutrement ideas. and i think it's sweet that you read each other's blogs (o.k., i'm not sure i've seen any evidende that mary's reading chris's blog, but i'll give you the benefit of the doubt).

Big enough for 2
Its brand new and its big brother dryer has now been seen all over the world.
Let me know if any of you you want to sell it in USA.
I had original problems getting air flow and temps correct but it is pretty damn good now.
Whats this "inheritance" business and how did mellisa get involved?

Your thing sounds lovely and complicated. European bathrooms are different. I would like to start an "international bathroom museum". OK -- I think I have to blog about that seperately.

We stayed in a hotel in Colmar France that had one but I have been looking for one in the U.S. and can't find one. What causes chapping, for the person that asked, is not completely dried and then exposing moist skin to cold. The body drier, which we used in conjunction with a towel got you perfectly dry.

In Beaune just for laughs we ate in a restaurant that had a blower in the toilet seat. Not sure why.

I am looking for the same. I found the British Body dryer by searching body + dryer on alta vista, but it is a whole big shower unit. I just want the kind of dryer that used to be found in gym locker rooms years agoe (25) that dried the whole body, larger flow, 220V, not such a funnelled tube for output as in the hand dryers. I wanted to mount it outside my shower.

I'd like to know the company name who make body blow dryer in UK.
If there is any person who know it, please advise the company name and contact numbers.

body dryer is a great innovation of our time. I want to have a compilation of any historical and technical facts about it. Thanks!

I have invented and manufactured a body dryer that has the ability to caress your body with warm air after a shower and at the same time, dry you up well to prevent the formation of any fungus on your body. The "feet only" option is great for preventing and curing athletes foot.

Email me if anyone is interested and would like more info.

THE BEST BODY DRYER IN THE "WORLD"

www.apresshower.com

Posted by: MJGodwin at March 25, 2006 1:27 AM

I have just seen the movie "Bob the butler" from the year 2005 with Brooke Shields.
After a bath in her luxury bathroom she stands in a body dryer which is a kind of open shower with infrared heaters in the wall and a blow dryer in the ceiling.
This looks as the ultimate and most luxury body dryer one can install.

Maybe this is only created for the movie and not actually working.
Or is a custom made product out of marble tiles, infrared heaters and a blow dryer.

After seeing this I searched for body dryers and so I landed on this website.

Perhaps someone has more infromation on this body dryer.
