Settlers of Catan?

Settlers of Catan! You have been hanging out with Pete and Susan? It is one fun game and Ronald and I also have considered getting it. Ah, resource exlpoitation as a board game. What could be better! Except of course, colonialism as a board game as in "Puerto Rico" a similar German game.

Two of your five listed gifts make me worried that you have chronically chilly feet. You poor thing! I'll start looking for thermal or electrically heated socks for you.

I'm such a nerd wanna-be I've actually been listening to the geekspeak podcast about board games, and now I want Puerto Rico, too. But I haven't had a chance to play with Susan and Pete and their fair friends lately, alas. I want to try out my new phrase, "German style gaming" on them and see if I've got it right.

My feet are sometimes cold but my heart is toasty warm. Actually, I want wool socks so I can wear them with big rubber boots while I walk Pica without getting super nasty sweaty feet. Wool is the best!!! Wool rocks!!!!

Get anything good in the mail lately, Kathy???

It's OK -- I don't mind such a personalized sales pitch. I might even want hand made Bulgarian cro-magnon socks for somewhere between $6-$9.30.
